Pay to Play!
€1,000 + to play on our open spaces....
During the Summer Break, South Dublin County Council implemented are TAX ON CHILDREN as a way of raising cash.....
Previously all Dublin Councils charged schoolboy teams a nominal €50 each season for pitch allocation, this year they want over €1,000.
As our Council's budget has been cut by the government, the County Councilors decided in their wisdom to take money out of our pockets to fill the gap!
If we refuse to pay, 400 kid's in the area will be spending their week-ends back at the play station......
This is wrong on so many levels I dont know where to start, the fight against child obesity, the continuing battle to get kids exercising, a tax on Sport.....
Next they will be charging entrance fee's on Play Grounds and putting levies on feeding the duck's.
I wonder what our local politicians are doing about this, or, are they the very ones that think a tax on sport is a good thing?
Time to ask the question?
