Code of Conduct for Players
As a registered player of the Club, I agree to the following:
·To wear the Club gear at all times when present at the Club - i.e. training days & match days
·To always play by the rules.
·To never argue with an official. If I disagree, I will talk to my Manager/Coach after the match.
·To control my temper, I accept that verbal abuse of officials & mocking other players, deliberately distracting or provoking an opponent are not acceptable or permitted behaviors in any sport.
·To work equally hard for my team & myself - my teams performance will benefit & so will I.
·To be a good sport. Applaud all good play whether by my team or the opposition.
·To treat all players in my sport as I would like to be treated. I will not bully or take unfair advantage of another competitor.
·I will cooperate with my Coach, team mates & opponents. Without them there would be no competition.
·To participate for my own enjoyment & benefit, not just to please parents & coaches.
·To respect the rights, dignity & worth of all players regardless of gender, cultural background, ability or religion.
·If I have issues, I will talk to my Manager, Coach or Age Group coordinator first.
·I give permission, as a registered Firhouse Carmel F.C. member for my name and/or photograph to be featured & used on the Clubs website (www.firhousecarmel.com ) in line with the protection of children in sport guidelines.
Code of Conduct for Parents
As a Parent/Guardian of a registered player of the Club, I agree to the following:
·To remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment not mine.
·To encourage children to participate & not to force them.
·To focus on my child's efforts & performance rather than winning or losing.
·To encourage children to to always play according to the rules & settle disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence.
·To never ridicule or yell at a child for making a mistake or losing a game.
·To remember that children learn by example.
·To appreciate good performance & skilful play by all participants.
·To support all efforts to remove verbal, physical & racial abuse from sporting activities.
·To respect officials decisions & teach children to do likewise.
·To show appreciation for volunteer coaches, officials & administrators - without them my child could not participate.
·To respect the rights, dignity & worth of every player regardless of gender, cultural background, ability or religion.
·If I have any issues regarding my child I will arrange to meet with his/her Manager/Coach/Age Group Coordinator & discuss the issue with them.
·To not discuss other players in public & focus my energies on my child's development in the long term.
·To support my child's leader & be proud of my child's progress at all times.
·To support the Club in the long term development of my child's & refrain from actions that may impede the Clubs programs of development
